Update on My Life:

This blog was originally posted on MySpace on 4/10/2009

Hello friends,

Its been a while since I've done a blog so its time to catch up.

Its been 6 weeks now since I parked myself here in

Racine, Wisconsin with my new love Lika.

After a 22 year marriage, getting used to a new routine
was a little difficult to endure.

The scenery change was very easy, but the familiarty

of my old emotions were no longer welcome with this

 new life.

Its more than just a geographical change.

Lake Michigan is roughly a couple miles down the street from where we live and its a very nice
sight and brings about a comfortable, romantic feeling.

Lika took me down to the shores (Chad, her 9 yr old
son in tow), and actually introduced me to the place
she used to go when she
wanted time away as a teenager.

We looked at the rocks, the waves, and the lighthouse.

The marina was even nice.

We took a walk thru a shoreside house that was for sale as well, and it gave me peace just sharing this time with her.

Lika is an EXCELLENT cook.
She has a very versatile worldly taste of cuisines.

Although it has ended up that I eat MORE than I used
to, it is much healthier food thats low in cholesterol, high in vitamin content.

Mostly fresh vegetables, fruits being used and very little processed foods.

The weather up here is a little cooler than in Iowa but its a great trade off for what I have gained.

We are very emotionally/physically/intellectually available for each other throughout each day.

We spend a lot of time together and its like we cant get enough of each other.

Her son is quite a card and is a joker like myself and Lika is just as humorously crazy as I am.

The biggest transition for us both is that we both are used to being independent in taking care of ourselves, so when we do something FOR each other, it feels odd in the way we feel we are being "spoiled".

The job market up here isnt any better than anywhere else and my private computer repair business hasnt launched yet even though I have advertised it.

However, today I noticed that my index card I had up in the local supermarket, had a couple of my phone numbers tore off.

Once I get my first few jobs, the rest of my business comes in like a "pyramid" type thing where my satisfied customers tell their friends about my work and then I then get more customers that way.

On the health front, I am doing ok and Lika is scheduled to get her umbilical Hernia corrected on April 23rd.

I am VERY proud to announce that Lika quit smoking the very day I arrived here in Racine (cold turkey at that), and hasnt smoked a cigarette since.

Of course this earned me brownie points with her family.

I have been keeping an occasional eye on what is going on in here on myspace blogs.

Michael The Rochester Guy seems to always catch my interest and Princess Paula with her recent pet peeve blogs actually tempt me to comment, but I didnt take the bait and then of course C.C. is still having fun with her many diff subjects she blogs about.

Alex is peaking my intellect lately as well.

Here is one of my fav pics of Lika with her Clarinet.
