The Internet is Real!!

I have been on the internet since 1999.
I started out on Yahoo chat, tasted AOL and then moved on to MySpace
during the fall of 2006.
I have chatted with COUNTLESS people and encountered so many types
that its numbing.
One of my biggest pet peeves is the use of the following line:
"The Internet is not real".
Lets look at that in depth and then maybe that statement will lose any validity
it has on those gullible who choose to believe it.

I will say this as an opener and there is absolutely no way to argue against my point.

A Computer (The Internet) is a "picture phone with a keyboard"

That's it people.
Its NO different than a phone.
If I call you on the phone and tell you I will come to your house and kill you, would you believe me?
Would you just say..."Oh, the phone lines is serious business!! lulz"
If you are an idiot, then yes, you would say that.

Ok, so now I am typing on a computer to you and say the same thing.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.

Reach down and touch your thigh...is it real?
Of course it is and as I type this, I can feel MY leg too!
Thats because I am REAL too.
So real I can stalk you just as soon as I find out who you are and jump in my car to come and kill you.

You have all these bozos out there claiming internet romance is not real.
Yet these same people are not bitching about phone dating services not being real.
Proximity has NOTHING to do with romance.

What if the lady I was typing to lived 1 mile from my house?
If I humor all these other idiots stances that it isn't real, then should I not pursue this lady who lives a mile away? Remember? its not REALLLL!!

With compact cars in our lives, its EASY to travel.
So anybody can hook up FOR REAL.
Look at me, I traveled 400 miles to be with my new lady and I'm happier
than I have ever been in my life.

Oh wait, it cant be real.
The food she cooks for me and the great sex is all imagination.

Do you understand now?

If the internet was NOT real, Lika would not have her YVI cause because its focused
on how REAL children get REALLY sexually abused and from where?
Over the INTERNET.
To catch a predator is not real, because the internet is not real so stop enjoying it!!
(yes, that was a sarcastic remark of how silly people are for not believing the internet is real)

People can pretend who they are on the internet sure.
But before the internet, they were doing that on the phone and through REAL letters.
Nobody was talking about how phones and snail mail was not real.

Real people get really ripped off by real hackers who hack their computers and take their real credit card numbers.

Remember that whatever you say in chat CAN become a reality if it goes far enough.
It can be a difference of life and death.
The "it cant happen to me" is just as much a crock of shit on here as it is to those who are driving cars and think they could be accident free for life or those who never
lock the doors on their house at night against possible burglaries.

What is a flame war? Well a flame war is basically an argument that is online. Someone voices an opinion that another disagrees with and the fight is on. Name calling, threatening from both sides.

How does it differ from harassment and stalking? Well the key factor is that a flame war is two sided. Both parties are involved in the flaming and arguing. Both respond to each others mails, posts etc. Flame wars are easy to get into and often difficult to get out of. You want to express your opinion, you want the person to understand your side. You "want" to win the argument. But as is the case in real life often "turning the other cheek" and walking away is absolutely the best path to take. You really don't "know" the person your arguing with and can not predict how seriously this person will take the argument. Do you want this person to trace you to your home in order to win your point of view? Of course not. So be the bigger person and walk away.



So the next time you decide that you dont have to worry about anything , no matter
what you say, think about it before posting.
Is it going to take Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for you to realize that everybody typing is REAL?
