In reading my friend Alexs' responses to my last Daily Music Video Blog that featured The Breeders song "Cannonball", his reponse was that he would hear the first few notes and hit "seek" again right after that.
Well my friend Alex has named himself after Malcolm McDowells character 'Alex" from the Stanley Kubrick classic cult film "A Clockwork Orange".
When I read his response, it brought back memories of the film, and of how they tortured our Poor defenseless Alex by playing his Favorite music in the background of a film that is being used as violence aversion therapy, that shows women being raped, people being beaten up etc.
If you have read my profile, you would know that Classical music is one of my favorite forms of ancient music.
Mozart and Beethoven have been with me all through life because my Dad raised me with it.
The song you will hear in the following video clip is Beethovens Ninth Symphony,  4th movement in electronica form.
I remember watching this film for the first time when I was just a pre-teen and my dad made me close my eyes during the sex parts but I could'nt get enough of the music. i liked it so much in fact, that  I took my dads 8-track of its soundtrack and recorded  it on cassette.
What i didnt know was that the cassette  was my dads and it already had my niece Maries cute little ga-gaing and goo-gooing when she was only 1 year old, and for that, my dad NEVER let me live it down.
So my friend Alex? You now know  why I had this reaction to you when I saw your default pic and became friends in a quick fashion.

a celebration of your originality of picking such a controversial character to use here.
Before I add the video, please note that I love the soundtrack to this movie as much as I do Eurodance music and if I were in the movie Character Alex's place, I would really become MORE violent for them attempting to ruin my music for me.

When I first came to Myspace, I had no digital pictures or easy way to upload. So I stole an image, doctored it a bit, made it my default. I ventured out into the deep waters, and discovered my icon was a major piece of ca-ca. Having seen the Original (X-rated) "Clockwork Orange" and loving it, I chose the pic of Alexander DeLaarge. You see, my real name is Alex. I then set about modifying it. I changed the eye color from blue to green, to match my own. I spoofed the "Got Milk?" with Tequila, although I rarely drink. I added the "devils advocate" on my shoulder (Carl from Aqua Teen, my fave character, and a name which I'm known by to many. Don't ask, long story) I modded Carl to reflect a couple of my personal features, and the saying "Whatever" which is a polite way of saying "F*** you" This became my new avatar. After many months I decided to change it, and the outcry was deafening. So there I am. The only real similarity to the character and myself is the name.

I do love classical music, having been raised on Warner Bros. cartoons. The band Rainbow does a smoking version of Beethovens 9th.
