KISS Music Video Blog:

Current mood:  accomplished
Category: Music
I wont have to go into history on todays video, seriously.
Everybody knows this band just as they do Elvis.
In 1975, my sister introduced me to a band after getting me high and playing their album.
They were all dressed up funny and I didnt know whether to think they were cool or to be scared.
A Vampire, a space being, a cat, and a guy with stars around his eyes?
What was this? were these rock stars crazy?
What parents were going to take their way of dressing seriously?
Well...ended up 80% of all parents did after a few years of this group "growing on them".
One of the members had even been a teacher himself before joining the band.
They were honest too about making the group in the first place to get women. Gotta love honesty!!
Where David Bowie and the New York Dolls did offend most parents, KISS made the parents realize there were PEOPLE under that makeup.
Rock N Roll all Night was an instant success and became the teens credo for many years to come, and gave us all that special rebellious feeling.
Who could forget such songs as Plaster Caster and the likes with such sexual tones?
I absolutely idolized Peter Criss with his full circular set that he actually had to be either lowered into ofr brought up from under the stage and into it VIA a hydraulic raising floor.
His playing style in my own opinion was a lot more rocking then Eric Carr who later replaced him after Peter married a playboy bunny.
Erics roots were in jazz and the other members of Kiss thought he was a good addition to the band because they thought his playing style could evolve with the bands change in music style.
I once watched Erics solo and was not impressed and in fact it was something I could do and I only play by ear.
Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick who later replaced Ace frehley on guitars were both good players, but Bruce was more geared to carry out the sound needed  to fit the 80s hair metal genre.
I cannot count how many songs by Kiss that I like but I know its a lottt.
My wife and I have long had an inside mock quarrel about Paul Stanley. She thinks he's so good looking but I think he has unusually portruding eyes  so I nicknamed him fish-eyes!!  lol
He sings some good songs but I dont think he's photogenic.
My daughter Lisa has a extensive KISS collectibles selection and thinks they're the greatest band that ever hit the earth.
Even my dad, the anti-rock guy that he is, actually grew to respect KISS and that is a colossal accomplishment.
This video is dedicated to Mrs. Nikki Sixx.
Dont turn off the video without watching the entire thing or you WILL miss out.
Video is in supplement:

 Your lightnins all I need
My satisfaction grows
You make me feel at ease
You even make me glow
Dont cut the power on me
Im feelin low, so get me high

Shock me, make me feel better
Shock me, put on your black leather
Shock me, we can come together

And baby, if you do what youve been told
My insulations gone, girl you make me overload

Dont pull the plug on me, no, no
Keep it in and keep me high

Shock me, make me feel better
Shock me, put on your black leather
Shock me, we can come together
Come on

Shock me, baby, shock me, oh yeah
Shock me, baby, shock me, oh yeah

Shock me, make me feel better, oh yeah
Come on and shock me, put on your black leather
Baby, Im down to the bare wire
Shock me, we can come together
Oh yeah, I wanna feel your power
Shock me, make me feel better
Baby, Im down to the bare wire
Shock me, put on your black leather
Baby, come on, come on, shock me
