Keep Sucking Up To The Enemy Libs???? Category: News and Politics I guess if you're 21-years-old and see the world through the eyes of youth, you can afford to be very idealistic,and that's fine because that is how we learn, but when that idealism calls fellow countrymen an enemy some kind of line has been crossed. The title of my blog mirrors the title of another blog on MySpace. As of my posting this blog is listed as the number one blog in the news a politics category. I seldom pay attention to what blog or who is rated as number one because I don't know what standards they use to make this decision. The title, however, got my attention. I actually think it's a good thing that someone rated this as the number one blog because it shows clearly what is really the matter with the United States of America, we are not united any longer. When people feel hatred, or think they do, about their own countrymen, we have an extremely huge problem. It is bad enough we have an ineffectual government, but when we become so divided, so factionized and so closed minded to other ideas and call them enemies, I think that is a bigger problem than government. I am not this person's enemy and I'm sorry she believes that I am. I believe the people who are perpetrating this kind of hatred would not know what to do if the other side, their enemy, also became the perpetrator. The blog itself shows less hatred than does the title, but the title's message drives home the frightening delusion that we are enemies. On this authors personal page she states, "God is my strength," I pray that is not the case because it means God is something other than what the Bible claims him to be. On this authors personal page she states, "I don't like socialism." Apparently, she doesn't even know what socialism is, but she knows she doesn't like it, that's a shame. On this authors personal page she states, "The word democracy dos not appear once in our Constitution." Well young lady, that is true. You see democracy did not have a name when our Constitution was written it was an ideal, and thankfully, a much better idealism than yours. On this authors personal page she calls herself Sabrina. So here are some of sabrina's words from her blog "Keep sucking up to the enemy libs." "So where are all of you "peace loving" bleeding heart liberals now? It baffles me how most of you forget how the same people who supported the 9-11 attacks are still out there planning and hoping for America's demise. WAKE UP! It doesn't look like Obama kissing butt to the rest of the world is doing us any good. Iran hates us just as much as they did when Bush was in office and they are now a nuclear state! When will enough be enough? Is America going to have to have some catastrophic event happen in order for everyone to start thinking and seeing clearly? I pray that some of us, who aren't drones, won't allow it to come to that point." So where are we? We are right here standing by your side as fellow countrymen, we don't see things exactly like you do, but we are here and we are not calling you an enemy; we save that for real enemies of the USA. You say you are baffled. Well, that is apparent from just about everything you are claiming to be. In the last line you are referring to us as drones, but truth be told, you are the drone. 	World B Free World B Free	Its not a personal attack, you are making an observation, and a very accurate one at that. I tend to agree and put it all down to youthful naivety. Sabby the person geunuinely strikes me as nice but where I take issue with her is her approach to politics. She allows herself to be deluded into thinking that all the men who comment on her blog actually value her opinion and so she sometimes says things that she probably wouldnt if it wasn't for all this attention she gets.  The truth is that she is a very pretty woman and the men who sing her praises only do so mainly to get her attention. She is too young to realise this but she will as time goes on. It might sound a little mean on my part but this is what I genuinely feel My second issue is her constant plagiarism. I do not know whether she understands what this is and why it upsets people. All she has to do is acknowledge her source, paste the article and people will still visit her blog and debate the issue. I cant speak for anyone else but I certainly would continue to visit them. Her blogs are always in the top spot (I am not sure how she manages this) so she shouldn't have any problems attracting readers. I just wish she would take a more honest approach to these things. Noone would begrudge her any success she has. Again, I like Sabby the person and I think people are often very unfair to her and sometimes are downright cruel towards her. 	Lisarae	You possess a level of patience that not many do. I very rarely ever look at her blogs, but I took a quick look at one of her recent ones, and a commenter there said that we should just nuke the whole Middle East, and she agreed.  Would a 'nice' oerson agree to that?  NO. 	James Jim O	This is the first blog I've read of hers, and only did so because the title was so hateful. If she plagiarizes, eventually some author hold her responsible. 	Steven	Good Post Jim!! I think the timing on this is great. America seems to be divided as much as the North and South were at the time of the Civil War. But now it's a simply a division of conservatives and liberals; of Republicans and Democrats. This is clear in Congress with the partisan bickering and the party of "no". And Democrats are guilty of this too, although maybe not to such extremes. Like Congress, Americans need to get over their partisanship. Rather than listening to uneducated pundits, who don't know what socialism is, they need to educate themselves on the issues, on history, and on the Constitution. I keep hearing the tired cliches about kool-aid how we need to wake up. Well, I say it is time to wake up and realize that hypocrisy, partisanship, and idiocy only serve to widen the chasm between the two Americas: Democrats and Republicans. Even within families you have to be careful not to alienate yourself. My sister, who is a staunch right wing nut, reminded me one day that I should be careful what I say because I might need her for a bone marrow transplant. There is a difference between figurative speech and the real thing. You say Israel is an ally and while that may well be true can you explain the reasons, if any, behind that alliance? I am smart enough to know that a two state solution is probably the best way given the current state of affairs that prevails at the moment but how would you feel if someone came up to you, and claimed that his "god" told him that his true home is your house? Israel was founded on a set of stone age myths and the Palestines are quite justified to be outraged. I do not see them as terrorist at all. They were colonised because America and the UK did not want Jews in their midst. This is true and the people you should be blaming for these problems are those two nations. I do not have anything against anyone of any faith (I view all people who believe in monotheistic religions equally - and thats being polite) and I stand for justice, equality and freedom. How would you feel if someone suddenly decided to seize more land to add to the land they had already stolen from you? Would you not fight back? 	Randy Randy Skjerly	Though Sabrina seems brash and unfeeling, I have detected in her blogs and subsequent replies, a bit of humor. When she calls someone a "drone" or "moron" I sometimes chuckle.
